TWIMC

It was mentioned in the news that there are wounded in Carmiel. It wasn't us, but that was close.

Some day we will remember this, and we would not believe it ...

Yesterday siren was late at night. Today – early in the morning, around 8 o’clock in the morning. And during the day too. "Heavy shelling of the North, 20 rockets exploded around Nahariya (town in the north of Israel) ". And now – fter 15 minutes – again...

Today sirens started wiling when I got out of the shower. The explosion was heard when I went downstairs to our children. We heard 5 explosions. The explosions were in Krayot (suburbs of Haifa). Some people in Kiryat-Byalik miraculously escaped – they were in bomb shelter when the whole building collapsed. Forest fires are spreading around the entire North.

Yesterday the rocket landed to the south of Hadera (town in central Israel). According to the news that rocket launching pad was destroyed immediately after the attack.

I'm back

Finally we have Internet and electricity back. Today I was very lucky - the missile fell 50 meters from our house, onto the roof of the nearby industrial building. We were lucky that there were trees and transformer between this building and our house. The trees got bold from the northern side and the transformer looked like a sieve; it was being changed for a long while. We were ok, except for frightened (me specially) and our windows have holes now. The siren started when we were asleep. Tolik didn't even wake up, while I was lying on my bed and thinking whether I should go to the corridor or not... because I wanted to sleep. So the siren howled for a minute and a half or so... and then it so terribly banged nearby... I cried out. Tolik woke up, closed me with his body and pressed to the bed in case I had a stupid idea to stand up and run... Then there were three or four more explosions very close, and the sound of broken glass. it was very frightening. Then when it calmed down, it smelled smoke and metal awfully.

A lot of pictures )

Haifa, [info]blackqueen. 08.02.
Sirens were met as an everyday thing, rather indifferently, like a habitué in the pub. People in our drugstore couldn`t believe, they were surprised highly to see us leaving instead of remaining and continuing serving. A woman called up exactly at the moment of siren howling, she asked us, till what time we worked, and we could hear her siren better than our.
During our absence at home in the bomb-shelter, one of our neighbour`s woman had given birth to her child, and currently she can not go down to the shelter. But people from both of the flats on the second floor returned. By the way, we`ve became good friends with all the neighbours, we greet each other, talk while sitting our 15 min.after the siren. Even their smoking is not so nasty now…
Between two sirens we managed to rush to new Teev-Tam, which is rather close to us, and we did it exactly at the right moment – we had only gone upstairs and put our packages, and right away we had to go back, downstairs. It bummed closely to us, but it seemed to be out of town, or at the open place. What is nice in Haifa – it has a lot of unreclaimed places, mountainsides, forest, sea: a lot of places to miss.
Thanks to our outing to Teev-Tam we managed to make good deficite of solt salmon in our organisms. It supplemented with making good of alcohol by having some vodka.
